Description
Furosemide is a potent loop diuretic widely used to treat edema associated with congestive heart failure liver cirrhosis and renal disease It is also prescribed for the management of hypertension Furosemide acts by inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in the kidneys thereby increasing urine output
